Elevators consist of electrically conducting lines, electronic control cards and many mechanical parts. In particular, mechanical parts move or are exposed to friction during elevator use. Electronic cards and electrical conductors have a certain lifetime. Depending on the frequency of use of the elevator, these elevator parts can complete their life in a shorter time.
For this reason, general elevator maintenance should be done at least once a month. During these maintenance, the necessary mechanical parts should be lubricated with suitable oil and checked together with other elevator parts. A number of controls such as wiring control on ropes are done by visual observation. Controls such as the rescue mechanism are also completed by testing.
